" Do you mean the actual install of FiOS in a house or the roll-out plan?
the roll-out plan. why a small bedroom town and not a city with
businesses etc?

" The state border is a HUGE barrier, that means tariff approval in a
" new state - non-trivial.
also a new [old] phone co - i'm in ma [verizon] while atkinson is in
nh [fairpoint now] - but they were done when they were still verizon,
and other places in ma have fios - at least, judging from the advert
bombardment.

" driving, 1/4 mile as the crow flies)...
before verizon ran fiber, my friend was pissed he couldn't get dsl.
he's within range but doesn't have copper back to the co; his
neighborhood is served from a pole-mounted concentrator.
