The interview I read was from the CEO or some other "important person". He
blamed the lack of funding on outsourcing the search for new funding.
He also mentioned that he had left the company before the search. This is
usually the kiss of death, no one will fund a company which is falling apart.
Unless the CEO is a well known idiot, or someone that everyone hates, their
leaving does not inspire further funding. Of course if they had hired a new
CEO, say someone with the reputation of Seymor Cray, then they might have
pulled it off.
