[geeks] Veritas VxFS and Solaris 9 and MySQL - tuning?

I have a v210 I am helping out with, they are seeing really poor
performance in serving up database backed web pages.

Solaris 9
Veritas VxFS v4.0
MySQL 5.x

We tuned the TCP/IP stack, increased the amount of RAM that MySQL can
use, etc.  Performance increased somewhat but it is still not up to par.

Does anyone have a link to a good VxFS tuning guide or advice on dealing
with MySQL?  Could it be that I need to increase a VxFS tunable, like
increase read-ahead or transfer sizes?

I know that the VxFS is older, I don't have control over the ability to
upgrade it.

Will have hands-on tomorrow, have been advising at a distance up til now.
