Incase you had missed it, BT suffered a major fire and flooding at the  
Paddington Exchange building in London. This is a major backbone  
exchange and has caused major issues with Broadband access, telephones  
and commercial traffic in the city. We first heard about it via our  
card processor who have had to switch datacentres and are having  
problems communicating with some banks.

If you deal with anyone in central London be prepared for disruption.

I'm usually the last one to go all conspiracy theory, but this seems  
like a very bad time running up to a Holiday weekend :\
