[geeks] Stale DNS Records?

Howdy!

I have a friend who was hosting some information on a co-located server and
the admin did not renew their domain. Now there is no record o the IP where
the server was and going to the domain returns a godaddy.com page; the admin
is AWOL, too.

Are there any old cached DNS records out there where we could possibly find
the IP address?
