My anecdotal experience with IOGear keyboard/display switches is that
their tiny USB two-host units lose USB interfaces really quickly (under 6
months).  For quite a while, just about everyone at $ork had a desktop PC
(for officey things), a desktop SPARC (for CAD/simulation things), and a
single large display.

I don't recall if the difference was statistically significant (either due
to the type of host or which port it was plugged into), but people would
frequently find the thing unable to control the SPARC--the USB interface
on the switch had gone dead.
