my friend ran into this when his mother - who runs a business from
home - got fios.  he had to forcibly remind the installers that
-his-line- [separately billed] was not part of the deal.

btw my copper does run all the way back to the co, a 10-minute walk
from here.

they have to share copper, per federal judgement.  afaik they don't
have to share fios.  you'll never go back b/c you're screwed.

yeah they want to run away from copper.  verizon wants to take you
prisoner.  the only thing that keeps their prices down around here is
comcast competition, and the only thing that keeps comcast from being
awful is verizon competition.
