[geeks] Q: regarding wiring RJ45 to DB9 adapters

Hello all,

I had a need to make a 'straight' (not null modem) 9 pin serial female to 9
pin serial female cable, so rather than pay $20 for an extension cable and
double-female adapter I picked up a couple of the above mentioned adapters for
much less...but... Is there any standard for wiring these up? For this
application, I could easily invent my own wiring scheme but I'd rather make
these adapters 'standard' if there is one.


Anyone have a link (or am I over-thinking this)?
