Yeah I'd already looked there.. ended up getting a 
(lidded, since I have an '09 single-proc) W3565 (3.2Ghz quad-core)
for $10 off eBay.

Plus an updated High Sierra-compatible Airport card, so I can 
get rid of the USB Wifi dongle.
