[geeks] Unable to wake Thor

So our power went out today. For the usual reason, tree limbs down on
the power lines after a winter storm.
We were only down about two hours, but so far I haven't been able to get
my X4540 back up. Not even the ILOM service processor was managing to
boot, and I couldn't see enough to tell what was wrong because the
screen was garbled and I don't have a serial console set up. Difficult
to do when nothing else in the rack has a serial port. (In fact, I've
just checked, and not a single thing I have in the house has an RS232
serial port.)
In the hope that it was just that something got too cold, not that
something had *failed*, I unracked it and brought it into the house
proper to warm up. (The deckhouse gets cold in winter.) After letting
it warm up to room temperature I tried it again. This time, I got no
display output at all. I pulled the system controller and replaced the
CMOS battery, on a hunch. Still no joy. I can see it cycling through
something about once a minute that puts signal on the VGA port (but no
actual output) and briefly activates the network ports (maybe it's
trying to PXE boot?), but without a way to set up a serial console I
can't tell what. No video whatsoever, but the system controller status
LED shows green.
Anyone got any ideas?
