I'm told CIRA - the body that manages .ca - is no longer doing the
geographically-based domains at all.  rodents.montreal.qc.ca was being
grandfathered until an issue with its registrar lost it, and now I'm
told nobody can register it at all.  (I am not doing any further
business with that registrar, to be sure.)
