For comparison:

I just found someone crowing with delight over buying a shrink-wrapped
copy of the Doom computer game for only $250. Apparently 4-5x this is
considered the going rate.

A PC game from ~1993 is now a rare collectible, worth more than the
computer it ran on at the time.
