Not me, and he's in another country to me, so I have not seen this
personally. I don't wish to quote him directly, either, but I am happy
to put you in touch if you both agree.

So I can try to summarise:

He built it, installed it, and couldn't get a login prompt out of it,
AIUI. Multiple compilation and build errors and so on make him believe
that it is far from complete and verified to actually boot and run,
despite claims online that the RP Pico is a supported platform that
works.
