  Hooboy...Sun 4/6xx machines are a far cry from PDP11s...I know of about
twenty 4/6xx systems (four of which are mine) that are running happily in
production..some of which with four 200MHz HyperSPARCs. :-)

  PDP11s, while not [necessarily] that old (the last ones were discontinued
only a couple of years ago, the PDP-11/93 and /94) are much less useful in
today's internet-centric environment.  They're still very heavily used in
industrial automation and real-time control, however.  Great machines. 
Absolutely wonderful machines.
