I assume that you mean a Sparc 1, not a Sun-1.

SBus analog mg2 framebuffer. 1-bit monochrome 1152x900, most useful for
the Philips 17" and 19" analog monitors. It will display an image on most
older color Sun monitors as well, but only in black and white.

Doesn't matter, a framebuffer is a DMA slave device so it can go anywhere.
No configurations will cause any damage, this is Real Hardware. :)

Got a VX/MVX by any chance? Beautiful boards. A cg8 or cg9 would also be
neat.
