I did a PDP-11 rescue from Baltimore once. It was an 11/20 in two
racks full of peripherals, plus a Diva 14" SMD. We loaded it all on my
pickup truck and then we piled a huge old projection TV on top! I think
we exceeded the
I drove through the commercial customs gate at Ft. Erie just to be sure
they wouldn't give me too much of a hassle and it worked as planned --
the customs inspector in the booth way above my head just laughed us
through!
All but the projection TV (given to another buddy) and the Diva drive
(disassembled for parts because it was far inferior to my RP03 and
CDC9762) are still in my garage, though I'm afraid to say it's not in
working order any more (it was when we pulled it out of my buddies
basement in Baltimore though!).
