[SunRescue] moving root filesystem?

Are there any unusual issues with moving your root filesystem under
Solaris (in general, but 7 in this instance)? I recently moved
a root filesystem from a RAID to an external drive, and then had
lots of problems (read, couldn't do it) doing a newfs on the
RAID. It would tell me that because I had the external drive
mounted, I couldn't do a newfs...
I had changed the instances in the /etc/vfstab to reflect the new
positioning... was there somewhere else I should've made a change?
