In short, buy the cable.

There is no internal connection from the mainboard to the built in drive tray 
or trays in a x70 chassis.  You will need a cable to go from the mainboard 
(mini D50) to the drive tray(s), which are either mini D50 or three-row D50 
depending on the age of your chassis.

It's worth pulling it all apart and inspecting the internal cabling in the 
tray(s), as I cant remember if there is internal termination or not.
