There's no real problem.

Look at the patch description on Sunsolve-- it changes a metric assload(tm)
of things with libc and the linker-- Oracle and all still runs fine after
the install of this patch, but relinking Oracle against it (installing 
Oracle on the box after it's been patched) will (most likely) produce a
different looking Oracle and an installation that is a bit different--
the new-rev binaries may act and/or crash differently (as a possibility.)

One of the guys who came from Oracle support who's on this project was
worried. Other Consulting(tm) guys have dealt with it and said "no
problemo!"
