I believe Chris won't have to format the SS20 to use Linux, as SPARC Linux can load on a Solaris-formatted disk.  I loaded SPARC Linux on an IPX without having to format the disk - is simply wanted to know where to put things, i.e., sda1, sda4, sdb1, etc.
