[SunRescue] Query on card compatibility

In my recent quest to get an ethernet card for an IPX, someone
gave me a combo SCSI/Ethernet card (thanks Candice).  Finally
tried it out in the IPX, and the machine won't come up. =(

The part number is 501-2981 with a "01REV,50" sticker.
Could any of you with an FE handbook tell me if I should
keep beating my head against this or not?

The IPX has prom 2.3 and 32 meg of memory.  It powers up
fine without the card...
