Yes. I already knew it was Sun2 based because the cpu board explicitly says (in yellow
letters printed on the board "SUN 2 PROCESSOR". Datestamps on IC's are all from 1984.
So, the backplane is a Prime version of the Sun 2/120 backplane. On the sun reference
you mentioned, there is a table that describes the preferred placement of each card in
the cardcage for a 120. However, If I follow that guide, the 3rd slot is occupied by a
memory card, which uses the smaller second connector, which isn''t available on the
backplane in that position. Also, it mentions jumpers that are on the backplane, and
there aren't any. So, is there a specific order for the cards to be in the slot?
Also, is there a "minimal configuration" that is just enough to give me an "ok-prompt"
(sorry, I'm used to a Sparc5, I don't know if the Sun2 has an ok-prompt). If I plug in
only the CPU board, should I get something on sio1?
Camiel.
