Actually, the Mac will work fine with external boot drives, etc.  Just be
careful on Macs with 2 SCSI busses, last time I looked MKLinux would not
work with the same IDs on both internal and external busses.  You couldn't
have an ID1 device on both scsi chains, so you were limited to just 7
devices.
