Release notes for Solaris 8 say sun4d (SS1000 and 2000) are EOL'd.  It does
NOT mention that for sun4m (SS10, SS5, LX, etc.) and Sun has always been good 
about giving at least one release notice.  So I doubt the sun4m will go away
for Solaris 9
