Actually NetBSD is available from the www.netbsd.org site. They have
several links to .iso images. (They change occasionally so I'm not providing
them here.)
mpeg123 is available for NetBSD and will play _most_ .mp3 files even on
slower machines if there's no GUI.
For instance my NetBSD IPX plays them ok but my NetBSD IPC and my Solaris 7
SS2 does not.
I figure your classic should be fine if you're not running a GUI.

Subject: [SunRescue] BSD Questions
I'd like to try BSD on my SPARCstation LX. Can anyone point me to an ISO
image?
Will BSD run with just 32MB ram well enough to play MP3s? I tried Solaris
2.6 & 7 and it was too choppy.
Is there an MP3 player (GUI or command line) for BSD?
I guess everyone (Especially BSD Bob) would suggest BSD over Linux, right?
