Yep. It also wastes memory bandwidth. I think the plusses outweigh
those problems.

It had some problems. Exception handling was pessimal, apparently.
It performed well in the high-end SGI graphics boards though!

Yeah, but it seems that Intel managed to muck it up. Some people
are claiming that HP's version will be a lot cleaner. I hope so.
