Definitely turn off the PWS; if she doesent use the Palm desktop a LOT;
turn it off and just manually start it before you sync.

Even on my box with 1G RAM, I only have MSN Messenger, WeatherBug, and
possibly AIM (when I'm playing Majestic) running.
