I'm sure this is a VFAQ.  You want a Symbios 53c875 based SCSI card such
as the 8751SP.  This will be supported with the native Solaris glm driver
and is fully bootable.  They're relatively cheap, in the $50-100 range
new.

Adaptec has always been overpriced, I'm not sure why they've got such an
extensive following.
