You could also traverse the device tree to get its local dictionary
to see if anything there hints to its use.

	ok  cd /sbus/IKOS,sbif   (or however you get there)
    ok  words
older OBPs take the '.attributes' verb, which could provide more
info as well, though i don't know the OBP3/4 equivalents to it.
