hi,
i have acquired a sparc classic which i've hooked up a serial cable to and i'm
trying to get into it.
it has a terminal problem though.
i can read the banner, and if i go to the ok prompt then printenv shows
9600,8,n,1,-. I have my serial client on a PC set to this and i can use it
all correctly.
Its running SunOS Release 4.1.3_U1 (PS_IRC_4M) #1: Thu Jan 27 15:13:40 GMT
1994 which I have absolutely no experience of - i've always run solaris 2.x -
and it boots up to this point......

root on sd0a fstype 4.2
swap on sd0b fstype spec size 97362K

le0: Twisted Pair Ethernet
as you can see after the le0: the terminal emulation goes all screwy and i
have tried changing my client to different speeds, parity etc. but with no
luck.
does anyone know how i can get around this? boot into single user mode? (if
so how do i get single user on sunos 4.1.3?)
thanks
andy
