You will probably find that  `vi'  is already installed;  however, if the
question is what do *I* use... then that would be the genuine article, GNU
Emacs; binaries available from your nearest:

  http://www.sunfreeware.com/

(Which, also contains most of the rest of ftp.gnu.org that you need to make
a Solaris box useable... <wink>).
