A friend of mine does this for parties at Sci-Fi conventions.  He takes a
Toshiba laptop, a 30gig Firewire drive with card, a boom-box, and a cassette
adapter.

With that an Winamp he DJ's the party all night.

(I keep joking with him about the fact that he's got a 30gig and it's filled
with 20gig of music and how he should have bought a 60gig. ;-)
