Thanks for advice.  Was there a 9 pin jack on the monitor too?

The ones I've worked on have oval screw holes in the frame.  If the drive is 
unscrewed and tilted there is just enough room to extract it without bending 
anything.  These are pretty thin drives, under 1 inch.
