That's correct.  Whenever I tried to boot the boot disk from the other
machine, it would hurl with that nastygram of an error that I pasted

Hrmm.  Proper tool...

Nope, don't have one of those. :(  I had to pry the stupid thing up with
a flat head screwdriver.  Fortunately, it wasn't exactly hammered in.
If you find the piggybacking link (without the help of Google, it
seems), please let me know.
