Actually Ed I'm ashamed to admit that I took the defaults on this one. I'm
going to look up the newfs (?) command for SUSE when I get home and see if I
can't fiddle with the settings to get more space until I can find a slightly
larger drive. (I'd like a margin of error just in case.)

Did you try increasing the block size and decreasing the number of inodes?
That
might be enough to "find" the extra 10MB.
