Probably like a SS10, it has thermistors - they're "self-resetting", but
dont always self-reset.  I had a SS10 that also *refused* to work with
a pair of IBM HDs - turned out the HDs just didnt like the machine; after
I swapped the motherboard twice.  Ended up having to get different drives..
