Well, it's good to know the real reason!

Just recently I bought over $300 in new cables and terminators to
connect a couple of surplus RAID arrays I bought for $120 each.  :-)

(well actually about $70 worth was for another chassis, so I guess the
RAIDs are still worth more than the cables....)
