FWIW, before anybody screams "LIST DICTATOR", I'm about as far from
that as you can get.  I only kick someone off when they repeatedly ignore
requests from me to tone it down / cut the quotes / stop a thread, etc.
I can think of maybe 3 people (this one included) that I've removed from
any of the lists in the 3+ years that the SunHELP mailing lists have 
been operating.  

I'm of the opinion that if I make a polite request of someone, and they
ignore it, repeatedly, that I dont have to provide them with services
(mailing lists) that I provide to the public for free, paying for out
of my own pocket.  I feel thats perfectly reasonable.

(this is one reason I "gave away" the Southwest Goths mailing list back
 in 1998 - one of the list members threatened my then-fiancee in email,
 so I kicked him off of the list.  He whined and got the "support" of
 other people on the list, so I handed everything, web page and all, over
 to another guy and told them to all go fuck themselves.  I thought I was
 well within my rights, considering that I got *this* close to filing a
 police report over the threats..)
