Let's stick to learning mutt first.  Then, maybe vi.

BTW, does anyone know how to get mutt to stop asking me if I want to move
read messages to ~/mbox?  I want my read messages to stay in
/var/mail/jdboyd unless I've explicity moved them.  I've been looking
through the manual, but nothing so far.
