When I first read your message, I got worried.  Thought 
I forgot everything I knew about chemistry in another 
senior moment.  Yep, really hard to keep aluminum from 
oxidizing in the air.  Good thing the oxide hangs on 
tighter than rust or there would be a lot of aluminum 
stuff falling apart.
