As Ken noted, a Mac serial cable is useful.
Mac printer cables were wired as null modems and Mac modem cables were wi=
red =
straight through. To connect a dumb terminal or another computer to an I=
PC =
requires the null modem type of cable.
The earliest Mac serial cables lacked hardware handshaking lines. Device=

throttled with XON/XOFF.
