HP/UX does do "phone home" for patching (has for a few years) and Sun
is trying to move in that direction with SRS-- Sun Remote Services.

SRS is now included with Platinum service and only requires a dedicated
Netra T1 (which Sun supplies) and then SunMC 3.0 agent on the systems to
be monitored.
