Ah, it is not she who has not yet learned - it is we.  She's holding out for
that 'special' buyer.  We do not represent an efficient market.  Instead, we
assess a value different from the general marketplace and trade amongst
ourselves.

But our prices are no more or less fair than eBay.  On eBay, the buyer often
gets screwed by not knowing the 'real' market value.  Here, the seller moves
equipment at prices below that which can often be found on eBay.

Lest ye misunderstand - I am NOT a proponent of eBay, and I am grateful for
the equipment I've purchased here from time to time.  Yet, this market is
for 'insiders' - we should not hold it against sellers who choose to
maximize the monetary gain through moving equipment through markets other
than ours.

More bluntly - I would give up the extra few dollars to move equipment here,
even if only for the sole satisfaction of knowing that the equipment would
be acquired by one who is interested in the equipment for the sake of that
equipment.  Case in point - when purchasing the 80Mhz CPU upgrade for my
IPX, the reseller simply could not understand why I did not listen to his
well thought-out ploy to sell me a more powerful machine.  If I ever rid
myself of that IPX and its matching external CD and drive cabinets, I'll do
it here - and not badger the buyer with 99 good reasons why he/she should be
buying something else.
