We had one of our major customers call in a panic today (one of the
admins is a friend), because they had originally ordered a Northpoint
line, and had just recently ordered a Rhythms line through us.  The R
line had just gone in (yesterday), and this morning, they found their NP
line gone.  So, it was a frantic day of configging routers, digging up a
/24, and getting them going.  Fortunately, there was a 56k line running
from them to us, in case of emergency.

And, to make it all worse, our tech support manager had invested in NP
about 6 months ago.  He's just sitting at his desk, holding his head. 
When someone mentions Northpoint, he starts to twitch. :)

It's almost funny, but the guy's a close friend, and I feel for him. 
He's also not talking to our director of marketing, as he was the chap
who gave him the "hot stock tip". :)
