not that I'm a RAM expert or anything,
72 pin simms... _usually_ follow these patterns
6 chips (mixed capacities) - 36 bit
8 chips (identical chips)- 32 bit
9 chips (identical chips)- 36 bit
9 chips - 33 (odd chip smaller capacity) or
36 bit (odd chip same or larger )
12 chips (mixed capacities)- 36 bit
16 chips (identical chips)- 32 bit
17 chips (identical chips)- 33 bit
18 chips - 33 (odd chip smaller capacity) or
36 bit (odd chip same or larger)
32 chips (identical chips)- 32 bit
33 chips (identical chips)- 33 bit
36 chips (identical chips)- 36 bit
