Yea, that's like saying:
'By the time you rebuild the engine in that Porsche, you might as well have
bought yourself a new Dodge Neon.'
Sure, you get a new system, but look at what you're getting!
It's the same thing as the Packard Bell ^h^h^h^h^h^h ultra 5 for goodness
sake. Creepy castrated processor, cheesy disposable disks ( "Yeah, but IDE
is virtually as good as SCSI for a Single-User Wintel - oops, I mean Unix -
Worksatation usage" - Yeah, right. That is until you have to replace the
disk once or twice.)
Please... the reason we have to put up with this kind of crap is because the
idiots of the world buy into it. And when we buy (into) it too, it's not
Compromise, it's Capitulation.
If Bill Gates were going to port Windows-XP to Ultrasparc, it would be on
the SunBlade 100.
