For some odd reason, some related scenes from "Eating Raoul" came to mind.
Yes, quality stainless copper-core cookware is pricy and injurable.
Solvents and soft scrubbies work, I wouldn't clean stainless with anything
I wouldn't clean porcelain with.
Formic acid (kettle descaler) can work wonders, though. That combined
with a brief soak in 37% HCl has removed anything from stainless I've ever
gotten stuck.
