[rescue] comm programs for *nix with xmodem?

does minicom support external programs like lrzsz?

That reminds me of the days of shell accounts and
having to ASCII upload the source for rzsz just to 
get things going.  If I was lucky the system would
have kermit to save me from the horrors of ascii
uploading.
