On the subject of 3Com switches:
'Case anyone's interested, www.cc-solutions.com has 3Com Switch 2200's
(16 10Base-T 
(RJ-45) ports and 1 high-speed FDDI port) for $45.oo each. Friend at
work got one and we had to find the magic words to let us in, but it
works OK now. Evidently there's an account/password hardcoded into the
box... cc-solutions is a place I have gotten stuff frequently in the
past. Nice folks. Ask for Peter...
