Did they ahve the shipping posted on the auction page?  even if they had to 
purchase shipping materials and boxes for the 4 drives, it shouldn't cost 
more than $20 to ship the them. (plus a reasonable handling fee)  (about 
$10 for box and appropriate packing materials) and a max of $10 to ship 
them ground.
